- How do you use my data?
- TabType runs entirely on your own machines. Everything is stored locally in ~/.config/tabtype, and nothing is collected, tracked, or sent to a server. The only network requests TabType makes are to verify your license and check for updates — and, when you work in an SSH session, to that same host over your own ssh connection.
- Does it work over SSH?
- Yes. In a terminal pane running ssh to another Mac, ;; completes against that machine — its project's branches, scripts, skills, and files, plus the project config kept there — while your own snippets and settings come with you. There is nothing to install on the host: TabType sets up its own helper the first time you connect. It needs a direct ssh connection that logs in without a password prompt; the reference covers the details.
